Small late 19th century sampler by M.M.Taylor - 1894. Worked in wool on even weave gauze, this little sampler is completely charming with neat stitch work throughout. The field of the gauze is stitched with the following two biblical quotations with a short verse between them. I love how you can hand it on the wall without a frame.
Jesus said whosoever drinketh of the water
I shall give him, shall never thirst

Little drops of water, little grains of sand
Make the mighty ocean and the beauteous land
