Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic Early American Style Primitive Tin and Glass Candle Lantern, dating from the late 18th century to the mid-19th century (circa 1780–1860). This is a true period antique piece, not a reproduction, featuring classic early construction with a traditional cone chimney top and a large round loop finger-handle.

It features a four-sided design with all four clear glass window panes intact, showcasing the subtle texture expected from early glass. The lantern retains a fantastic, heavy "as-found" rusted patina that gives it incredible rustic character and historical appeal for any primitive farmhouse or early lighting display.

Dimensions:

Approximately 4" wide x 11" tall (to the top of the chimney ring).

Condition:
Offered in honest, as-found antique condition. The metal structure shows heavy surface rust, oxidation, and aged crusting consistent with its great age. The glass panels are completely intact with no major cracks. The internal candle holder area shows wear and oxidation typical for early lighting that was regularly put to work. Please review the photos carefully to appreciate the authentic patina and condition details.

* Candle is included
